Who Are We?
Helping Notes is a WCMO subdivision led by a team of experienced students who provide free piano lessons to financially disadvantaged students. Each session lasts for eight weeks, with 30-45 minute individual lessons per week. All of our students will be provided with free music and keyboards!
In previous years, all lessons were done virtually, however we have began to start doing in person lessons more frequently. However if a student lives too far away, lessons can be done virtually granted the student has the adequate technology.
Being a teacher brings a large amount of responsibility not only for the club but also for the students. These students will be depending on you for the free lessons, and it is important that all teachers have communication with the students and their parents / guardians. If a teacher has to cancel a lesson, they need to notify the student and club officers at least 1 day before.
We have had the privilege of teaching many piano students over the past years and we are looking forward to teach more and potentially expand our range of instruments that we will teach!
